Overview
The Inside Out Community is a network for in house creative leaders across the UK and Europe, with members from organisations including Waitrose, Gousto, UNICEF and Deliveroo.
I worked on the project as the designer, focusing on the visual design of the re-platformed site and ensuring it supported a growing community with varied content needs.
The brief
As the community expanded, the existing website became harder to manage and less able to support new content and use cases. Working with Filter, the brief was to redesign the site as part of a wider replatforming effort.
The overall structure of the site largely remained the same, but the interface needed to be redesigned to reflect updated branding assets and a new visual direction. The focus was on applying the new look and feel consistently, while ensuring the site felt clear, usable, and appropriate for a senior creative audience.
Design work
I designed the visual interface for the platform, working within the agreed structure.
What I delivered:
Page layouts that made articles and updates easier to read
Applying the updated brand consistently across templates and components
Setting clear rules for typography and spacing
Ensuring layouts worked across desktop and mobile
Where it made sense, I made small UX adjustments to improve clarity and flow. These were discussed and validated with the wider team before being applied.
The result was a straightforward, usable design that supported the needs of the community and provided a solid foundation for ongoing development.
